About
Slow writing about
a thing that cannot be rushed
Why this exists
Most sleep advice is written
to be published, not read
There is an enormous amount of sleep content and very little sleep writing. Lists of twenty tips, assembled quickly, optimised for a search engine, funded by whoever sells the mattress at the bottom of the page.
Cricket & Moon is the opposite arrangement. One piece a week at most. Every mechanism explained before any advice is given. No brand pays for a sentence, and nothing here is gated.

How it is written
Three rules, kept
01
Mechanism first
No instruction appears before the physiology that justifies it. If we cannot explain why, we do not tell you to.
02
Sources named
Claims are traced to primary literature, and where the evidence is thin we say so plainly rather than rounding up.
03
Revisited
Pieces carry a review date. When the evidence moves, the piece moves with it.

The Sunday letter
One letter, sent
as the light goes
A single idea about rest, one thing worth trying this week, and one thing worth ignoring. Written by hand. Sent Sunday evening.
No noise, no selling, leave whenever you like.
